If you live in a home or plan on purchasing a home built before 1978 the property may contain lead-based paint.  If you plan on renting your property, you should be aware that federal as well as some state laws are in place to protect our nation’s children from lead-based paint poisoning. Property owners can face heavy penalties (including fines and jail time) for having a property that is not in compliance with the lead laws.  IEE can help you protect your family and your investment through a comprehensive lead inspection.

With the new EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) law that went into effect April 2010, property owners who have had their property assessed for lead-based paint are finding it less expensive to have a renovation performed than those who have not had an assessment done.
